    # of poles needed = (length of entire track)/(distance between poles)
    # of poles needed = (27/8) divided by (3/8)
    # of poles needed = (27/8) times (8/3)
    # of poles needed = (27*8)(8*3)
    # of poles needed = 27/3
    # of poles needed = 9
