    Evaluate the expression for the given value of the variable

    1. 8q + 6; q = 2

    Plug in 2 for q in the given expression

    8(2) + 6= 22

    2. 9 + 4g; g = -3

    9 + 4(-3) = 9 – 12 = -3

    3. 7x – 7 ; x = 4

    7(4) – 7 = 28 -7 = 21

    4. 10 – 3.2n; n = 2

    10 – 3.2(2) = 10 – 6.4 = 3.6
